Proposing party: Dr. Giuliano De Felice, archaeology researcher in the Human Sciences, Territory and Education Department, Università degli Studi di Foggia. The Spin-off intends to deal with different production sectors connected with the world of research and, in particular, the applications for Cultural Heritage. The main field of activity will be services for archaeology.
The company therefore intends to offer services – both traditional and innovative – within the framework of the modern “global archaeology”, intended as the integrated use of multiple sources and tools, with the contribution of innovative techniques and technologies by humanistic and scientific disciplines. A large number of skills can also be used in other sectors: mainly in the larger field of Cultural Heritage, extending the protection, preservation and enhancement activities to cultural heritage as a whole. In the second instance, some services and technologies can be offered more generally to the world of research also in sectors other than the humanistic fields (such as medicine, agrarian sciences, etc.).
Among other things, the entrepreneurial activity intends to enhance and industrialize the results of the research activities conducted within the “ITINERA” pilot project (“Information Technologies for the EnhancemeNt, E-learning and Research in Archaeology”) developed by the University of Foggia within the framework of the Regional Plan for the Information Society, measure 6.2 action c) of the Puglia ROP 2000 – 2006.
The Spin-off proposal was approved by the Università degli Studi di Foggia with a resolution by the Academic Senate of 15/10/2008; whereas on 29/10/2008 the Board of Directors authorised the establishment of the abovementioned Spin-off.
The Spin-off includes the participation of the Università degli Studi di Foggia by 10% with respect to the overall share capital, which has been indicated in € 10,000.00.
The company was incorporated on 13/01/2009.
